CHILDREN’s GERMAN LANGUAGE PROGRAM
REGRETFULLY, our children’s German language program has been temporary canceled. After much discussion, debate and number-crunching, DANK Chicago South has had to make the tough decision to suspend our Children’s German Language School for the 2010/2011 school year. Our students were too varied in their language skills, age groups, locations and numbers as to come to any viable class sizes based on the per class costs needed to keep the school going in their present format. However, we remain committed to re-evaluating our decision based on the demand for a German language program for children every year.
Our children’s German language classes are held at the Zion Lutheran Church located at 17100 69th Avenue in Tinley Park on Saturdays from 9am to 12 noon.
We would also like to invite all families to join us at our many family-oriented events throughout the year. Please check our calendar for upcoming events.
Children of the junior high and up age group interested in joining the DANK Youth Group – join us at our events and at our Social Hours following our monthly membership meetings to connect with other youth to make new friends, plan and attend outings, field trips, fun activities and much more. Get to know other local youths by joining us on Facebook under “DANK Youth Group” for networking and meetup news. Enrollment in the school is not required.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. If you know other families interested in our programs, please have them contact us.
We look forward to a fun and successful year!
