DANK South Participation Important line up information: Wear your Trachten or German-themed attire again when you join us in Lincoln Square/Chicago for the Von Steuben German Day Parade on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Line up begins at 12:30 PM for a 2:00 PM start. Our parade number is 36 and we are sharing the fire truck with DANK West this year. The parade is held on the North side in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. Participants can enter at Lincoln Ave. & Irving Park Rd. Alternately, you can park near the end of the parade route near Western /Lawrence/Lincoln Ave. and walk down Lincoln Ave. towards Irving Park Rd. to find our spot. Once again parking is limited, so car pooling is a good idea. Public transportation is available by taking the Brown Line & exiting at Western Ave.
